Audio Visual Equipment Limited was founded in the early 60’s and was primarily involved in school supplies and manufacturing of 35mm slide projectors, stands and screens. In 1973 the present owner and Director purchased the company. The company embarked on an expansion program entering into professional cinema equipment supplies, obtaining exclusive agencies in the world’s top markets.
Since this time the company has progressed and become the major cinema supplier in New Zealand, with all our stock ex factory.

 

Still operating as a family organisation, we offer a full range of services from design, consultation through to supply and installation, backed by after sales service and warranty for everything supplied by our company.

 

Size is immaterial, from a small technical presentation, a single theatre or a multiplex cinemas of any size; we have the technical knowledge to custom build to all your requirements.

 

During the past 40 years we have grown with the changes in cinema technology and have developed products to meet the needs of our market. Our experienced team can offer qualified expertise in the electrical, audio, projection, video, control, Software developers, cinema design and remain Industry certified service provider and installers.

 

Our company is further expanding in the permanent exhibit and theme park industry with custom show control systems, animatronics, automated audio visual presentations, lighting, research and development of prototype attractions.

 

Today the Cinema industry is transitioning to the digital age of cinema and AVE understands the importance of reliability, backup and support, introduce the tools for cinema owners to take control of their own digital cinemas with the backup and support of the AVE NOC.
